For 30 days, we did something a little different with our Facebook feed.
In order to show our commitment to our work with First Nations Peoples and communities, starting on 9th August — International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples — we only shared stories about the First Peoples of this country for a month.
In recent months, Black Lives Matter and deaths in custody have brought First Nations justice to the fore, but these problems are not new. We've worked with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities for over 47 years. But there's more work than ever to be done to challenge injustice, fix broken systems, and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' right to self-determination.
