“The program is important to my life, my family’s life, and the community as a whole … People have seen real, good change in their lives.”
— Titus, youth leader

One in three women has experienced physical or sexual violence, usually at the hands of an intimate partner. That’s one third of all women, worldwide. In PNG, two in three women have been raped or assaulted.

The tragic prevalence of violence against women and girls in Papua New Guinea can feel like an insurmountable problem.

But through the tireless work of our partners and those they support, we are seeing that significant, lasting change is possible.

Women, men and children — whole communities — are coming together to say “inap nau” [enough now] to family violence. And in these communities, the future is beginning to look very different for women and girls.

With your support, we can:

Titus's story

help provide women and children escaping violence with food, water and emergency shelter in a safe house.

Titus's story

help provide counselling, referral and legal support services for survivors of sexual assault in Papua New Guinea.

Titus's story

help deliver programs to men and boys in Papua New Guinea, designed to reduce violence and create a safer environment for women and children.

Please donate today to help break the cycle of violence and keep families safe from harm.
