The Race to Save the World!

front logo

When was your last adventure? Was it challenging? Did you achieve something important?

Well Oxfam, Amnesty International, Make Poverty History, Fairtrade, Results, the Global Poverty Project and the Greatest Need have come together to bring you the Race to Save the World – an adventure that gives you one day to complete six challenges; challenges that will help those people in the greatest need around the world.

The Race will see your team (2-4 people) completing one challenge from each charity, giving your team the chance to take action on; refugee rights, food security, global health, climate change, ethical consumerism and international aid.

Points are awarded depending upon how well your team completes a challenge or how many times your team can do it. How many signatures can you get on a petition? Can you convince the local media outlet to run with the story you pitch? The challenges will be revealed on the day, and will take teams to businesses, schools, parliamentarian offices and other locations across each city.

The Race to Save the World will bring together 500 advocates from across Australia and will engage more than 20,000 Australians. The Race is happening in Brisbane (20 Feb), Perth (22 Feb), Adelaide (25 Feb), Sydney (27 Feb) and Melbourne (28 Feb) with a maximum of 40 teams in each city.
