EASTERN SUBURBS WALK AGAINST WANT
Join the thousands of people who have participated in Oxfam Australia’s Walk Against Want
since it began 45 years ago.
Starting and finishing at the St John Ambulance Hall in Elgar Park, Box Hill (Melway reference 47B4), the 6, 13 and 18 km routes will follow the Koonung Trail through beautiful bush and parkland, and is pram and wheelchair-friendly.
Walkers and cyclists may start between 9am and 1pm. Please note that 13 and 18km walkers must start by midday.
Refreshments are provided en route, and there will be a free sausage and tofu sizzle and musical entertainment at the finish.
Last year’s Eastern Suburbs Walk Against Walk raised almost $31,000
towards Oxfam programs that are helping to eradicate the causes and effects of poverty in 29 countries in Africa, South Asia, East Asia, the Pacific and Australia.
