Win one of four double passes to AWME

Music: the universal language (and your chance to win!)

If you live in Victoria and love roots music from around the world, you’re in luck.

The Australasian Worldwide Music Expo (AWME) will be taking place in Melbourne from 15–18 November, and the organisers have kindly donated four double passes for us to share with you!

Now entering its fifth year, AWME has established itself as the southern hemisphere’s leading global roots and Indigenous music industry festival and conference event. It brings together musicians, industry representatives and festival audiences from all corners of the world for four huge days of music, networking, film screenings and conference sessions.

Featuring more than 60 acts, AWME is internationally renowned for its programming of the world’s finest roots music. It also supports Oxfam, by enabling punters to donate to Oxfam Australia when they purchase their tickets.

How to enter

To win one of four double passes, simply email events@oxfam.org.au before Thursday 8 November and tell us in 20 words or less what type of event you’d like to see Oxfam running or getting involved with in the future.

This year’s incredible line-up includes international and home-grown luminaries such as:
Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 (Nigeria), Archie Roach’s ‘Into The Bloodstream’, The Abyssinians (Jamaica), Clare Bowditch, The Bamboos, Iration Steppas (UK), Kutcha Edwards, Hugo Mendez – Sofrito (UK), Boubacar Traoré (Mali), The Bart Willoughby Band, Ladi6 (NZ),House of Shem (NZ), OKA, Jordie Lane, Yasmin Levy (Israel), Christine Salem (Reunion Island/France), The Bombay Royale, Electric Empire, Airileke(Aus/PNG) and Dave Dow.
