Fitzroy Stars helping to Close the Gap

In celebration of National Close the Gap Day we join the Fitzroy Stars, an inspirational Aboriginal football club, on their training weekend. Not only is the club helping its players to live healthier lifestyles, it’s also spreading the word in the community about closing the life expectancy gap between Aboriginal men and other Australians.

Aboriginal men can expect to live to about 60 years, 14 years less than the average Australian. Players in the football club are changing that statistic.

On National Close the Gap Day, Oxfam are proud to be a supporter of the Fitzroy Stars.
