Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Committee gives strategic advice to Oxfam Australia based on members experience and knowledge of current and emerging realities and needs in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia as well as Indigenous peoples globally. The committee also provides advice in relation to Oxfam’s overall approach to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in its operational policies, including the development of the Reconciliation Action Plan, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment and volunteering strategies, training and development for the agency as a whole.

Their contribution ensures our organisation is culturally appropriate, effective and meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
