With Syria

In March 2011, public protests sparked a violent crackdown by the Syrian government that led to conflict throughout the country. Five years later, Syria has become the epicentre of the world’s worst humanitarian catastrophe.

Over 250,000 people have lost their lives and over 4.3million people have been forced to flee the country due to fighting.

The international community is not doing enough. In the past, the Australian government has pushed strongly for global action to support the people of Syria. Action that has not been followed through.

Enough is enough. The Australian government must act to save lives in Syria.
